Handmade to order in our Fall River, Massachusetts workshop, our traditional Japanese Shikibuton futons are crafted for comfort, durability, and authenticity. This futon includes a removable futon cover made from authentic Japanese cotton fabric, combining traditional Japanese aesthetics with practical everyday use.

Filled with approximately 90% premium cotton batting and wrapped in a thin layer of spun polyester to meet federal flammability requirements, our futons contain no added flame-retardant chemicals or boric acid. The shell is made from 100% unbleached cotton.

Every futon is hand tufted in the traditional Japanese style and designed for use on tatami mats, platform beds, as a mattress topper, or directly on the floor. Measuring approximately 4–6 inches thick, each futon is made to provide years of comfortable use.
